What is Holidaybuddie

Holidaybuddie is a real time, geo location-based web & app that connects registered users to meet up with people near your location. Holidaybuddie is a platform for friendships, dating and social meetups.

How does the website / app work and how do I sign in ?

Users can create a profile and register yourself with Holidaybuddie’s website Holidaybuddie.com. For android phone users, you download the app from GOOGLE PLAY STORE and Apple iPhone users can download the app from APP STORE .Once you provide the relevant information, an OTP will be sent your email or phone. Once the OTP is confirmed, you will be logged in.

Once registered, Holidaybuddie will show users at your present location or near your location. Members can also search for matches and can request friendship from those results. Once the user accepts your friendship you can message and request a meet up.

Is Holidaybuddie free to users?

If you are 18+, you can browse Holidaybuddie.com on computers and download the app free without paying, but some functionalities may be limited. We offer both standard and premium memberships. Standard subscription is free but comes with limited features. Standard users can create profiles, browse matches, view users online at your location and send 10 free requests. Whereas premium members get additional features with extra friend requests.

Is Holidaybuddie a friendship or dating website?

Holidaybuddie is basically a friendship website. But it also has a dating option. You can use it for both purposes. If you wish to find people to make friendship then you can set your setting in your profile as “seeking friendship” and for those looking for dating can set their profile as “seeking dating”. The results will show according.

Can Holidaybuddie be used only when travelling or holidaying or can it be used by everyone for making friendship, meetups and dating in general?

Holidaybuddie can be used by anyone above the age of 18 and in any location to find friends for meetups and dating, wherever they are, whether they are travelling or not. Holidaybuddie can also be used to find you in your location by people in your location or near your location. It is not necessarily just you trying to find and meet people, but also in people searching and wanting to find and meet people in the location you are present.

What should I do to be successful to connect and meet with people in Holidaybuddie?

Always give right info about yourself, use high-quality photos, write a genuine bio, and highlight your interests to attract like-minded people. Send friend requests to people who only match your interests.

Can I change my profile details later?

Once a profile is created, you cannot change the registered email id, age and gender. You can freely update or change your other profile details anytime from settings menu. If you give false information, your account will be locked and debarred.

How do I ask or start a meetup with someone?

Simply send a friend request to people who have your common interests and you would like to meet. Once they accept your friend request you can either message them directly or for icebreakers you can use emojis to get their attention.

Can I message people directly without sending a friend request?

No, you cannot message people directly. First you need to send a friend request and if the person accepts your request, then you can message, say a hello and request courteously to meet.

Privacy

Is my information safe on Holidaybuddie?

First & foremost, we prioritize the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information. Our encryption protocols and strict data protection policies ensure that your sensitive details remain secure and inaccessible to unauthorized parties. Users can enable with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Security to verify their identity before accessing a system, application, or account.

Are messages private?

Yes, all conversations are private and encrypted for your security. Only you and the person to whom you send or receive messages can view messages.

Can everyone in my location view my profile?

All registered users in the website or app can search and view your profile only if you give them permission to be viewed at your location.

How can I report or block a user?

You can report or block a user directly from their profile or messages by clicking the “Report” or “Block” button.

Can I hide my profile from certain users or hide my online status ?

You can hide your profile by going to privacy in settings and clicking “OFF” – show my profile to random users. You can again turn “ON” whenever you wish to see or be seen by people entering Holidaybuddie to make friends and meet people. Alternatively, you can also hide and control your online status in privacy, by clicking “OFF” – show in my location only button. You can again turn “ON” whenever you wish to see or be seen by people in your location, to make friends and meet people in your location. But you are free to see other people’s profile & online status in random search and in your location, unless they have turned “OFF” the same features in their respective privacy features.

Subscription & Cancellation

What is standard membership and premium membership?

Standard Membership

Standard membership is a free membership you get on holidaybuddie, once you successfully register. The standard membership is valid lifelong and as long as you delete account. It comes with a basic feature and 10 free friend requests that is one time, when you register for the first time. See standard features here - ( link)

Premium membership

Premium members have extra benefit and get free one time 50 friend requests, view both standard and premium members, find people up to 250 Km, unlimited messaging, cheaper and higher friendship request boosters (e.g. 25 friend requests for $ 1) and other benefits. How long are the friend request boosters valid and what happen to them when I upgrade from standard to premium. Also, what happen to them if I cancel, renew or don’t renew my premium subscription?

For Standard users-

When registering standard users get free 10 friend requests which is one time. There is no time limit to the validity of the friend request boosters and they are valid till you exhaust them. Once the 10 requests are used, then you need to pay and add extra friend request for sending future friend requests. For standard users, the extra friend requests come in a pack of 10. There is no time limit to use your free or paid friend requests while being a standard member. If you upgrade to a premium membership, the unused paid friend requests will be transferred to premium membership. Free friend requests will not be transferred.

For Premium

Users upgrading to premium will get free 50 friend requests which is one time. For premium users validity of the friend requests are valid only till the end of your annual premium subscription. Once the 50 friend requests are used, you need to pay and add extra friend requests for sending future friend requests. For premium users, the extra friend requests come in a pack of 25. The free and paid friend requests can be used for a year from the date of registering to your premium membership. On renewal of premium subscription, the paid friend requests will be transferred to your renewed subscription. Unused, free friend requests will not be transferred. On cancellation of premium subscription, your account will be automatically become a standard membership and the paid friend requests in your premium subscription will be transferred to your standard account. Unused, free friend requests will not be transferred.

What happens to my account when I cancel my premium subscription

If you have subscribed for premium membership and in the case of cancellation of the subscription, then you lose you premium benefits and you will automatically become a standard member by default and entitled to use the facilities offered under standard membership. On cancellation of premium subscription, the paid friend requests will be transferred to your renewed subscription. Unused, free friend requests will not be transferred.

What happens to my account if I don’t renew my premium subscription?

If you don’t renew your premium subscription when your subscription ends, then you lose you premium benefits and you will automatically become a standard member by default and entitled to use the facilities and features, offered under standard membership. The unused friend requests in your premium subscription will be transferred to your standard account. Unused, free friend requests will not be transferred. You will not lose your account even if you don’t renew your premium subscription.

Does Holidaybuddie auto renew my premium subscription or friend request boosters?

No. Holidaybuddie does not have any auto renewals for any kind of subscription or friend request boosters. Users need to manually renew the subscription and friend requests. The renewal button will appear automatically on the top left and you can click it and continue to pay and renew your premium subscription.

How can I cancel my premium subscription? -

You can cancel your premium subscription by clicking the cancel button on the top left and follow the procedure.

Does cancelling premium subscription close your account in Holidaybuddy ?

No, cancelling a premium account does not close your account. After you cancel your premium account, your membership will automatically convert to a standard membership.

Can I cancel my friend requests that I have boosted by paying ?

No. The friend requests boosters cannot be cancelled or deleted once you have purchased it. However, you can cancel your premium subscription.

How to close and delete my Holidaybuddie account completely?

You can delete your account by going to settings, by clicking on your profile on the top right side. Click on to settings and once you are inside, you can delete your account on the top right.

Payments & Refund

How can I pay to boost my friend requests or upgrade to premium membership

Worldwide (International) users-

You can pay using PAYPAL account or cards accepted by PayPal. You can alternatively use your credit and debit cards on RAZORPAY from anywhere in the world. Both PAYPAL and RAZORPAY gateways are available on the payment page.

International users while travelling in India, can pay with PAYPAL account only. PayPal does not accept international credit or debit cards while in India. Alternatively, you can use RAZORPAY gateway to pay by debit or credit cards.

Indian Citizens

For Indian citizens, living in India, you can use RAZORPAY to pay by Debit cards, Credit cards, UPI or QR scan code.

For Indians, travelling outside of India can use RAZORPAY to pay by Debit cards, Credit cards, UPI or QR scan code, that are enabled with international payments by the bank or issuer.

Can I get refund on friend requests?

No. Firstly, there is no option to cancel friend requests after buying them. Generally, all Internal as well as External purchases including app purchases, subscriptions and friend request boosters are typically final and non-refundable. We do not encourage or allow refunds once your payment is completed under a plan subscription, app purchase, friend request boosters or for any additional services. However, certain special refunds will be considered at the discretion of our company and legal laws. See Refund Policy(link)
